The Osun State Government on Sunday confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 in the state.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, in a statement also confirmed that 11 patients have been discharged from the state treatment and isolation centre.
According to him, the newly recorded cases were contacts of previous cases in the state.
He added that with the latest development, the number of confirmed cases in the state, as at July 19 stand at 339 with 175 active cases.
He also disclosed that the state has successfully treated and discharged 156 patients.
He further disclosed that eight deaths have so far been recorded in the state.
Isamotu, therefore, appealed to residents of the state to always observe all the precautionary measures laid down by the state government ti prevent spread of the deadly virus.
