96 Kaduna Poly students expelled for exams malpractice

Ninety-six students of Kaduna Polytechnic have been expelled for involving in exam malpractice.

The expelled students were from different departments and academic levels.

According to the insistitution’s circular with reference number KPT/CA/S/PR. 11/VOL.XXIII/417 dated September 1, 2021, some others among the ninety nine students were those expelled for other academic misconducts.

The circular, which was signed by H.S. Jandutse, stated that the disciplinary measures were taken by the Academic Board of the polytechnic during its extra-ordinary meeting held on 25th August, 2021 where reports of examination malpractice were considered.

The circular showed that 85 out of the 96 students tried for examination malpractice were expelled.

It further showed that eight were suspended for failure to appear before the examination malpractice committees, one was exonerated, one was rusticated, while the certificate of another one was withdrawn for impersonation in the exams hall.
